COMPOSITE BONDING

Whether you are looking to improve the shape and size of your teeth, fill any gaps or repair chipped teeth, composite bonding may be the solution for you. Composite bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure used to repair minor imperfections like chips, cracks and gaps. Using a tooth-coloured resin, the dentist molds and shapes the material to match your tooth’s natural contours, creating a seamless and aesthetic result.

HOW IT WORKS

The procedure is done by preparing the tooth by lightly etching its surface. Then, a tooth-coloured composite resin is applied, molded, and hardened using a special light. Once set, the resin is polished to blend with the surrounding teeth, giving you a smooth and natural-looking finish.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The first step towards your dream smile is a consultation with one of our highly experienced dentists. The dentist will give you a full dental examination & then discuss which cosmetic treatment is the best option to improve your smile and create a bespoke treatment plan for you. The consultation fee is £25.00 non refundable. If you choose to have your treatment with us then this will be deducted off the total costing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Composite bonding can usually be carried out in just a single visit. It is a fast and effective way to fix minor cosmetic issues, using UV light to harden the material as soon as it’s in place. You should be able to comfortably bite down with your teeth by the end of the appointment.

Other than avoiding certain drinks, food, or smoking for at least 48 hours to prevent staining, you should only need to maintain good oral hygiene as standard. You should also avoid biting your nails or chewing hard items such as pens, pencils or ice – so as not to chip the material.
